Empost appointed official courier service provider for Iranian Hospital

Empost, the UAE’s national courier company has entered into a strategic agreement with the Iranian Hospital (Iranian Red Crescent) in Dubai to provide Health Pack services for the benefit of the hospital and its patients. Empost will now be the official courier service provider for the Iranian Hospital.

The agreement was signed recently between Sultan Al Midfa, CEO, Empost and Dr Asghar Farshad, Director of Iranian Medical Centres in the UAE, Iranian Red Crescent.

Under the agreement, Empost will open a dedicated counter within the hospital premises – at the hospital’s visa medical testing centre – to allow patients to avail reliable and cost-effective courier services that ensure timely delivery of their various medical documents. Manned by dedicated Empost staff, the office will handle all outbound business-to-business and business-to-consumer courier traffic such as blood test reports, laboratory test reports and other medical reports and documents.

Welcoming the agreement, Dr Farshad said: “Iranian Hospital generates a large quantity of important, sensitive material that needs to be handled with care and confidentiality, and which requires the services of a professional organisation such as Empost. Having Empost office on the hospital premises will be a great convenience to our patients, and will help to reduce queues for collecting reports and improve the hospital’s services to patients.”

“Iranian Hospital is expanding rapidly with a new building being built to meet the growing demand for medical services. Our agreement with Empost enables us to leverage the courier service provider’s considerable resources and expertise and we urge patients to avail these innovative services so they can save considerable time and effort,” he added.

Al Midfa, CEO, Empost said: “Our agreement with Iranian Hospital furthers Empost’s strategy of integrating and customising services to meet the specific requirements of our widening base of customers. The addition of Iranian Hospital to Empost’s growing list of clients consolidates our operations in the medical sector. Through similar branch offices, Empost has established its presence in many government departments and non-governmental organisations, helping them to improve efficiency and add value to the services they in turn provide to their customers.”

Established in 1970, the Iranian Hospital, now known as the Iranian Red Crescent, is a modern 128-bed facility offering specialist treatment in 60 disciplines. Manned by skilled medical and para-medical personnel, this premier hospital treats more than 2500 patients daily from Dubai and the other emirates.
