600 “Point Postes” (postal counters) have been opened so far, another 150 will be put in place by the end of 2009. “Point Postes” complement La Poste’s traditional network of 700 post offices.

A survey has shown that 80% of customers are aware of these new facilities; 20% by their last postal transaction taking place at a Point Poste. Studies have also shown there is still room for improvement specifically, procedures package pickup and registered mail by customers need to be streamlined and simplified.
