Shepherd FM delivers TNT Express contract win

Shepherd FM has rubber-stamped a deal to deliver mechanical and electrical maintenance to TNT Express, the global express delivery company.
The partnership will see Shepherd FM deliver a  tailored ‘hub and spoke’ solution, combining both resident and mobile engineering teams, across TNT Express’ vast network of more than 70 UK sites as well as its UK head office in the Midlands.

Part of the Shepherd Group, Shepherd FM has enjoyed  sustained growth over the past few years including a 30 per cent increase in turnover last year, whilst maintaining a 98 per cent customer retention rate, and this growth is set to continue.

Noel Clancy, CEO at Shepherd FM, says: “TNT Express operates in a dynamic and demanding arena which requires an expertly balanced combination of quality, pace and 100% uptime.

“We faced some stiff competition but our ability to listen and build a bespoke offering, which delivered exactly what TNT Express was looking for, differentiated us from the pack.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the challenging bid process and identified very early that there was an excellent cultural fit between TNT Express and Shepherd. Both businesses share an overriding commitment to quality and a culture exemplified by a strong, robust ‘can do’ attitude and spirit.”

Having gone live on 6th July, Shepherd worked collaboratively with TNT Express, which operates within the UK and, internationally, across 200 countries, in order to ensure a seamless mobilisation process.

Simon Harper, TNT Express Director of Operations, said: “We greatly appreciated Shepherd FM’s different approach which includes a dedicated account manager for the life of the contract.

“Having so many locations throughout the UK with a wide range of heating, air-conditioning and electrical maintenance requirements, Shepherd FM’s forward-thinking solutions proved the best option.”
