Fastway strengthens freight delivery partnership with ASOS

Fastway Couriers has announced a new extended contract with leading online fashion and beauty retailer ASOS. Fastway will deliver all ASOS’ standard and express freight into the Republic of Ireland. In addition, Fastway will also provide returns services for Irish ASOS customers through either Home Collections or the much preferred Parcel Connect service, whereby customers can simply drop their parcel into their local shop. To make returns even more hassle free, ASOS customers can now return their items using an adhesive Parcel Connect returns label included in their packaging, so the customer can now simply peel, stick and drop into store within minutes.

The decision by ASOS to select Fastway as its preferred delivery partner, follows a rigorous eTender process and builds on the successful working partnership that was first established in 2013. ASOS has continued to achieve year on year growth in the Irish market, and with this renewed and extended partnership with Fastway and Parcel Connect™, market share is now expected to increase even further.

Fastway has introduced a number of innovative internal and external changes to cope with increasing business demands, such as a new scanning platform and upgrading their Track & Trace system. Additionally, they have introduced Parcel Connect™, an exclusive network of over 1000 local Payzone branded convenience stores, located across the Republic of Ireland and offering consumers the option of collecting or returning their parcels at a time that suits them.

“Fastway has had to adapt their business to suit consumers as the volume of e-commerce transactions continue to rise”, says Bobby O’Keefe, CEO of Fastway Couriers Ireland. “Launching a Service such as Parcel Connect and making the necessary changes internally to keep up with this growing demand has ultimately led us to attain the highest operational delivery standard in Ireland. This standard is also what enabled us to renew our partnership with ASOS, as we now have a proven track record of delivering unequalled results.”

Online shopping is a fast growing market, and sales in Ireland are forecast to reach €5.5 billion in 2014 – up 20% from 2013. This rapid expansion, coupled with increased demand from consumers for superior service, including precise tracking services on their packages, has meant delivery companies such as Fastway Couriers have had to react with new enhanced services to keep up with this demand
