SingPost expands its 24/7 parcel locker network

SingPost is collaborating with petrol company Caltex to roll out five new POPStations at service stations as part of a pilot. Since the launch of POPStation in April 2013, SingPost is continuously expanding its network. Customers can now post, pay, collect and return parcels at about 90 POPStations across the island and at their convenience.

The POPStations are strategically located at very accessible places such as shopping malls, office buildings, sports and recreation centres, post offices and at community centres and are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The new POPStations are located at Caltex Holland, Caltex Serangoon Avenue, Caltex Balestier, Caltex Beach Road or Caltex Bukit Batok.

Ms Lim Ann Nee, Senior Vice President (Singapore Parcels) of SingPost said: “SingPost focuses on giving our customers more convenience, more flexibility and more options. Designed for today’s on-the-go lifestyles, the POPStation is popular with consumers as it offers 24/7 access, security and convenience at no extra cost. Our partnership with Caltex will give customers greater convenience and more choices. They can drop-off or collect their parcels easily after refuelling at Caltex service stations.”

“This is the first time that Caltex is offering a parcel pick-up service in Singapore and we are excited about this collaboration with SingPost. We believe this partnership will be mutually beneficial for both sets of customers, allowing them to enjoy the quality of Caltex with Techron fuels and the convenience of a one-stop shop for their mailing and parcelling needs. At Caltex, the new POPStation service is another affirmation of our wide range of offerings, as we continue to extend a hassle-free experience to our customers, and ensure that they enjoy their journey,” commented Shahid Ahmed, General Manager for Products, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia of Caltex.

For greater convenience, customers can also download the POPStation Mobile App from the Apple store. One of features that the POPStation mobile app offers is the “air unlock” which allows consumers to pick up their parcels even more quickly when they are within close proximity to the POPStation by swiping on their smart gadgets. The POPStation mobile app also allows consumers to track their POPStation parcels, receive alerts, manage their accounts or get information on the POPStation locations etc.

To provide even more convenience to online customers, SingPost works with eRetailers to use POPStation to provide the last mile convenience to their customers. Partner eRetailers onboard includes popular brands like omigo, vPOST, Rakuten, Deal.com.sg, Zalora, Xiaomi and Taobao. More customers are in the pipeline
