Sahara will Join Europa in its move to new site

Sahara Presentation Systems PLC, will join Europa Worldwide in its move to its new, state of the art facility in Dartford in early summer. The 262,500 square foot site, currently under construction, will become Sahara’s new home, boosting existing capacity by 50 per cent but with opportunity for further expansion at the new site. Currently located close to Europa’s existing site in Erith, Sahara is a UK manufacturer and distributor of audio-visual (AV) presentation products, selling through a network of almost 2,000 resellers in the UK and worldwide. Europa has been a logistics partner of Sahara’s for over 10 years. The firm handles Sahara’s inbound logistics from across Europe and Asia, and carries its entire pallet freight. Spurred by rapid growth in recent years, Sahara will occupy 8,000 square feet of office space and almost 3,000 warehouse pallet spaces, at the new site at Prologis Park.

Sahara is leading the way in the interactive touchscreen market with its flagship range of Clever products. A family of interactive devices, Clever products include products such as interactive whiteboards, and Clevertouch – one of the largest ranges of interactive dual and multi touch displays, up to 82 inches.

Richard Cronk, Logistics Director at Europa Worldwide, said: “We’re delighted to have Sahara join us at our new site. We pride ourselves on the strength of our customer relationships and Sahara’s decision to move their entire operation to the new site is a testament to the success of our partnership and the strength of Europa’s solutions. This alliance will prove to be hugely beneficial for both businesses.”

The Dartford facility will provide increased capacity for Sahara to attract new business as it expands, working with manufacturers to distribute more products in the market place.

Kevin Batley, Managing Director of Sahara Presentation Systems PLC, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the move. We have outgrown our current premises due to significant growth and we’ve had a long and fruitful relationship with Europa which has been our partner for many years. Both Sahara and Europa share the same growth ambitions so it made best business sense to move with them. We are currently market leader in the UK with a technology that should grow rapidly in the years ahead covering both the educational and corporate sector. The considerable increase in capacity will allow us to offer a greater customer service experience and the ability to realise our plans for future expansion.”

Once completed, the site will feature a new head office and a southern hub, designed to support Europa’s road freight operations, as well as a new warehouse and logistics operation. Europa offers logistics and warehousing services throughout the UK – currently at three sites in Erith, Birmingham and Northampton.
