Surfair Logistics joins UPN pallet network

Derbyshire-based Surfair Logistics has become a full member of the United Pallet Network (UPN) which currently has 80 members covering the whole of the UK and European partners providing coverage throughout 26 countries. Surfair Logistics already provides logistic solutions throughout the UK and Europe, but will be serving businesses in the LE 65 postcode area on behalf of the UPN network.

Paul Cannon, Managing Director of Surfair Logistics commented: “We are really pleased to have signed with UPN. The UPN culture is all about quality, partnership and performance. This is a perfect match for Surfair Logistics.

“Being part of UPN means Surfair Logistics customers will now have access to the widest range of UK next day and economy services for palletised freight. They will also be able to send freight in the widest range of freight types, from 150kg up to 1,200kg per pallet.”

The UPN network is underpinned by an advanced web based performance monitoring system to provide customers with clear on-going visibility of all freight movements. Clients also have access to an online customer booking system, a track and trace facility and real time signature capture.

David Brown, Managing Director of UPN commented: “The friendly, tight knit team at Surfair concentrate on delivering high levels of customer service. We are pleased to welcome Surfair into the UPN membership as their whole ethos is tied into our own, offering a high quality service to our members and customers.”

“Surfair is a great fit for the network and already proving to be an asset. UPN has experienced in excess of 25% growth in business over the last twelve months and bringing on new members to manage the increased capacity is central to their plans”.

This announcement marks the close of a highly successful year for Surfair Logistics which culminated in a 30% growth in turnover.
