DHL unveils upgraded Botswana facility

DHL Express Botswana officially opened its upgraded central facility last week. Speaking at the launch event on Wednesday (18 June), Oliver Facey, DHL Express Vice President Operations (Sub Saharan Africa),  said the facility would deliver enhanced productivity and efficiency through quicker sorting and more streamlined package management systems.

“Our facility has a P2.2 million conveyor belt plus accessories which form the core of the direct loading system. The direct loading facility is one of the few rolled out in Sub Saharan Africa and is currently the second after South Africa,” Facey added.

Botswana’s Minister of Trade and Industry Vincent Seretse attended the launch event.
