D.E.S. opens new mail processing facility at Heathrow

Direct Entry Solutions (D.E.S.), the mail distribution specialist and owner of the PacketPort parcel delivery service, has moved to a new international mail and parcels facility near to Heathrow Airport. The new 10,580 sq ft facility at 363 Stockley Close will house 40 employees and provide an operational base for D.E.S.’s UK ETOE (extra territorial office of exchange) co-operation with Austrian Post.

Whilst primarily supporting a new UK-based channel for international mailings to be processed and despatched by D.E.S. on behalf of Austrian Post, the facility is also custom-designed to provide D.E.S.’s core services to the wholesale market and to support D.E.S.’s commitment to developing premium wholesale solutions for its current and future customers.

Services on site include international priority, non-priority, direct entry and alternative distribution mail products, together with D.E.S.’s PostPort and PacketPort systems for mail and parcel delivery management.

D.E.S. will be able to process over 30 tonnes of mail each day at the new site.

The facility is located near Heathrow Airport’s Air Cargo Centre, and offers convenient access to the M4 and M25 motorways.

Phil Coleman, Chief Executive of D.E.S., commented: “We are thrilled to be opening our new facility. This a tremendous milestone for D.E.S. and our customers. The new location offers us a fantastic environment to develop and expand our services with Austrian Post and introduce a truly high quality mailing service into the UK wholesale market.”

The new facility will be officially opened by D.E.S. and Austrian Post on Thursday (17 September).
