Cleveron to unveil new PackRobot parcel terminal
Estonia-based postal technology company Cleveron has announced that it will be unveiling its new PackRobot automated parcel terminal next week. The newly “re-invented” PackRobot system will be unveiled on Cleveron’s stand at the Post-Expo show in Paris (29 September – 1 October).
In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today, Cleveron said: “PackRobot emerges from five years of development and on-the-job feedback and brings advanced features that reduce costs, improve security and efficiency and enhance end-user convenience. The new automated parcel terminal (APT) can be used indoors and out thanks to adjustable internal climate control.
“Existing APTs are plagued by under-utilisation, as ‘compartments’ are fixed to a number of specifically sized parcels. With PackRobot, that problem is 100% solved thanks to an innovative 3D lift system that picks and delivers the right parcel to a secure delivery slot.
“Space utilisation is maximised by stacking parcels tight and high that means PackRobot can
accommodate three times more parcels per m² than the leading competitor.”
PackRobot provides automatic weighing & measuring functions and can handle up to 500 parcels.
As previously reported by Post&Parcel, the company recently announced that it will be working with Bell and Howell in order to introduce its parcel terminals in the North American market.
