UPS extends Chinese network

UPS will be extending its reach in China into more second and third tier cities, according to local reports. A report published on ChinaDaily.com today (25 September) said that UPS has set up new operations in 13 cities in the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang and Chongqing, and added that the company is looking to roll out in more lower tier cities soon.

Chinas manufacturing industry is undergoing a rapid paradigm shift characterized by a move towards high value sectors, innovation and global connectivity. Chinese exporters are now adopting a more customer-centric approach, which requires more collaborative partnerships and logistics support,” said Richard Loi, president of UPS China, was quoted as saying.
