Lock+Store offering onsite postal services

Singapore-based self-storage provider Lock+Store will be offering onsite postal services from 3 May. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (27 April), the company claimed that it “will become the first and only self-storage provider in Singapore” to offer these services.

Lock+Store said that it will accept Ordinary Mail, Registered Article and Speedpost postings on behalf of Singapore Post at all its branches – Ayer Rajah, Chai Chee, Serangoon North, Tanjong Pagar and Tampines.

E-commerce businesses operating in the vicinity of the five self-storage facilities can also take advantage of the postal services.

Helen Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Lock+Store, commented: “Amid the current tough economic climate, e-commerce storage is a key growth driver.  Our appointment as a postal agent enables us to provide order fulfilment support to e-commerce storers.

“They can save time, money and manpower by depositing their merchandise with our Customer Service officers after purchasing the necessary postage.”

E-commerce storers and their customers will be able to check the delivery status of their merchandise in the next working day at http://www.singpost.com (click “Track Item” icon) or on SingPost Mobile App.
