SNCF and Le Groupe La Post announce national roll-out for parcel lockers

French rail company SNCF and Le Groupe La Poste have announced that they are planning a national roll-out of the “Collect & Station” parcel lockers in train stations. Last year, SNCF and Le Groupe La Poste deployed lockers in 120 stations in Ile de France (the province which includes the capital city, Paris).

In a statement issued today, the companies announced that they plan to have lockers in the major Parisian train stations and also the main stations in France’s other big cities. All told, they aim to have more than 250 Pickup Stations in place by the end of 2016.

Le Groupe La Poste said that, to date, more than 120,000 parcels have been delivered through the 120 Pickup parcel lockers already installed in the 120 stations in the Ile de France region.
