wnDirect appoints new Technical Sales Manager

Sarah Heath has joined wnDirect as Technical Sales Manager, and her initial focus will be on the new wnControlTower. wnControlTower is an operational alerting and reporting system which enables retailers to manage the parcels within their network. Essentially it provides a dashboard overview which has the functionality to drill down to individual orders, enable business alerts and automatic notifications if parcels miss SLA.

Talking about the launch Heath said: “wnControlTower is essentially ‘air traffic control for parcels’ and was developed to help retailers to work more efficiently, giving them 360’ view of the parcels in their network.

“The system can help reduce the cost and frustrations of managing a number of carrier partners who they might outsource to. wnControlTower is unique as it brings together valuable data and presents it in a way which is easy to understand and also supports a pro-active response.

“One of its functions is the integration of customer communications. Customers will automatically receive two emails through wnControlTower. One which informs them when the parcel is dispatched and another when it has arrived in-country. These emails can be retailer branded and in the local language. It also enables retailers to reach out to customers if there is any sort of delay reducing the ‘where is my order’ queries.”

Heath added that the retailer partners who have already trialled wnControlTower are “very excited about what it can do for their business”.
