UK Mail reports “solid start to the year” ahead of AGM

In its Trading Statement issued ahead of its Annual General Meeting (AGM), UK Mail Group has said that it has made “a solid start to the current financial year”. The company said that it “remains in a sound financial position”, and its overall performance for the first quarter was in line with previous expectations.

UK Mail added: “The move of our second hub has been successfully completed, with very high service levels maintained throughout the period.  We continue to make good progress with our plans to improve the efficiency of our operations.”

The Group’s AGM will take place at 12.00pm today (14 July).

In June, UK Mail’s Group Operations Director Peter Fuller talked to Post&Parcel about how the company is working to get the full benefit of its automated hub in Ryton, Coventry, which started operations last year.
