Asendia joining MetaPack platform

Cross-border mail and parcel services provider Asendia is joining MetaPack’s delivery management platform. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (29 July), MetaPack said the partnership will provide brands and e-commerce retailers using the MetaPack platform with easy access to Asendia’s global network, delivering to over 220 destinations.

Given that Asendia is a partnership between La Poste and Swiss Post, MetaPack said that it expects e-commerce players to be “most excited about the unique access Asendia can give them to the French and Swiss markets”.

Lloyd Webber, Sales and Marketing Director at Asendia UK said, “We know the French and Swiss markets inside out, and many leading retailers in the UK benefit from working with us. Our global Head Offices are in Paris and Bern so not only do we have unique access to the parcel services of La Poste and Swiss Post, we also have people who understand the French and Swiss consumer. They are after all French and Swiss consumers themselves!  This insight can be invaluable to our retail customers in the UK”.

Webber added that, while Asendia does not want to be “pigeon-holed as just the specialists for France and Switzerland” – because it delivers globally for a number of clients – its branding purposefully includes the line ‘By La Poste and Swiss Post’ because the company is “proud of this heritage, and because shoppers in France, Switzerland and further afield see these brands as a stamp of quality and trust”.
