UberEats launching in Tokyo

Uber is set to launch its UberEats food delivery service in Tokyo tomorrow (Thursday, 29 September). Tokyo will be the 34th global city to have the on-demand fast meal delivery service.

UberEats bicycle couriers will be carrying meals from about 150 participating Tokyo restaurants. Uber will reportedly be waiving the delivery fees for the initial launch period to build up momentum. and it is not yet offering a full city-wide service.

Sources report that Uber will start in key areas of Tokyo and then gradually expand to a city-wide service.
