PTV Group: New business management in the UK and Scandinavia

The new management team of Distribution Planning Software International Ltd. (DPS) is now in place, following the company’s recent acquisition by the PTV Group. Both companies offer route planning software designed to meet the needs of the transport logistics sector.

The previous sole owner and company founder of DPS, Paul Palmer, has sold 100% of the company to the PTV Group. He will continue to serve the company in a new advising role.

Constantin Lutz and James De Roo were named as the new Managing Directors of DPS Ltd. in October and will be responsible for business in the UK in the future.

Constantin Lutz has held leading roles at the PTV Group for many years at its German headquarters in Karlsruhe. As Vice President Sales & Marketing Logistics Software, he is also responsible for the corporate group’s global logistics business.

De Roo has been with PTV since 2010. In his new position as Managing Director, he will support business from the new company headquarters in Halesowen, near Birmingham.

DPS also brings the PTV Group a branch office in Gothenburg, Sweden, through which all of PTV’s business in Scandinavia will be expanded further in the future. Dyon van Gaans has taken over  responsibility for this office. He was previously the Managing Director of PTV Benelux.

In the Logistics business field, PTV’s portfolio ranges from software for scheduling transport routes and trips to distribution planning and fleet management, including truck navigation and parking. An online service provides real-time transparency during the transport process and across the entire supply chain. In the Traffic business field, PTV offers software, data and scientific techniques for modelling and simulating traffic networks. This helps traffic and city planners in over 120 countries to organise optimal traffic flow.
