Toll launches pop-up delivery hubs in Westfield shopping centres

Australia-based Toll Group has launched a new consumer-to-consumer (C2C) parcel delivery service with the opening of new pop-up delivery hubs in selected Westfield shopping centres. The pop-up delivery hubs will be open seven days a week at centres in Bondi Junction, in New South Wales); Doncaster, in the state of Victoria; and Carindale in Queensland.

Luke Condon, General Manager of Consumer and eCommerce, Toll Global Express, said: “The pop-up hub is a first for Toll and we are excited to bring shoppers greater flexibility, better pricing and access to our vast delivery network capabilities.

“Feedback from shoppers at the pop-up hubs this week has been overwhelmingly positive. With prices as low as $10 to ship to most locations in Australia, demand has exceeded our expectations.”

Toll added that it has been “gearing up for Christmas” by increasing its delivery fleet by up to 30% in key locations – and it has also invested more than $320m in new warehouse facilities across Melbourne and Sydney over the last 18 months.

Toll – which became part of Japan Post last year – said that it “will look at expanding the pop-up delivery service to additional retail outlets during future peak periods such as Christmas and Easter”.
