Colis Privé testing ParcelHome’s PackBoxes

Colis Privé testing ParcelHome’s PackBoxes

France-based Colis Privé has been running tests using ParcelHome’s PackBoxes. As previously reported, ParcelHome’s systems are dropboxes which couriers and homeowners access using a smartphone app, so parcel deliveries can be made even when the customer is not at home to receive the item personally.

ParcelHome ran a trial in Belgian city of Mechelen with the carriers DHL, GLS and DPD in 2015. The company informed Post&Parcel today that it is “now commercial in Belgium”.

A report published in Le Figaro last week indicated that the test run with Colis Privé  had been successful. Now ParcelHome is looking to find the most suitable economic model for developing the product in France.

Online giant Amazon has a stake in Colis Privé.
