Amazon to open ninth Texas FC

Amazon has announced that it plans to open its ninth Texas fulfilment centre in Coppell. “This building will be a new addition to the Amazon Robotics fulfillment network, which already has a robust presence in the metroplex,” said Akash Chauhan, Amazon’s vice president of North American Operations.

Amazon currently employs more than 10,000 full-time associates at its seven currently operating fulfillment centres across the state and plans to create 1,000 more full-time positions at its third Coppell facility.

In addition to the Coppell facilities, Amazon has FCs in Haslet, Dallas, Fort Worth, Schertz and San Marcos with a facility currently under construction in Houston. Amazon also has sortation centers in Irving, San Antonio and Houston.
