IBC opens ECCF at JFK Airport

International Bonded Couriers (IBC) has opened a Express Consignment Carrier Facility (ECCF) at JFK International Airport. This is IBC’s third ECCF in the US. The other two facilities are in Miami and Los Angeles.

IBC has been in the express industry since 1980 and has been operating ECCFs for two decades. IBC said that the JFK ECCF was a “necessity” for the company as its inbound e-commerce volumes could not be efficiently processed through the existing facilities at the port.

“Having the ability to offer our customers three ports of entry allows them to benefit from injecting into the closest Port and benefiting from lower cost last mile deliveries,” said IBC.

The JFK facility became operational in October 2016.

IBC told Post&Parcel that it will be making an announcement in the coming months about the opening of an additional ECCF in Chicago.
