Yamato mulling rate hike for corporate clients

Japan’s Yamato Holdings is reportedly looking to raise its delivery fees for corporate clients, according to local sources. The company has already announced increased delivery fees for consumer clients, which will come into effect in October.

According to a report published by Nikkei Asian Review this week, the price hikes for consumers will be able 15% on average, and the rates increase for some corporate clients could be more than 15%.

As previously reported, Yamato has felt the strain of an e-commerce led surge in parcel delivery volumes and a relative shortage of delivery drivers.
