USPS testing next-day delivery on Saturday pick-ups
The US Postal Service (USPS) is reportedly testing a pilot service offering Sunday delivery on e-commerce goods that are ordered from a retailer and picked up on Saturday. According to a report published on DC Velocity, the ship-from-store service is being tested in 20 US markets.
Dennis R. Nicoski, USPS’ manager, field sales strategy and contracts, was quoted as saying that the cut-off times for Saturday pickup will vary depending on the market.
USPS has been offering Sunday deliveries for Amazon for several years – and now it wants to extend the benefit to other retailers, according to the DC Velocity report.
