Belgium’s Cubee parcel locker network “open to all couriers”
bpost has revealed plans to expand the Cubee network to have more than 450 parcel lockers in Belgium by the end of 2018. The Belgian postal operator joined forces with the Dutch company de Buren last year to develop Cubee, which is focused on developing an independent, open network of parcel lockers for retailers, online customers and couriers.
In a statement issued today (4 October), bpost said that: “All 150 existing bpost parcel lockers have already been converted into Cubee parcel lockers. And Cubee is expanding its network of locations every day.”
Emphasising the network’s open nature, bpost said: “A parcel from any logistics partner can be delivered to a Cubee parcel locker. In addition to bpost, Cubee today reached an agreement with DPD and GLS, among others. The open character of the network is the biggest differentiating factor compared to the former bpost parcel lockers.”
