Welcome to the group dedicated to the annual event dealing with international and national post & parcel matters for nearly one billion people living in the Americas – a must attend for all those interested in this diverse region.
Overview
The 2012 event will take place at the Trump International Beach Resort, Miami, Florida. The theme of ‘Trust and Technology’ goes to the heart of the key strategic issues facing postal and parcels operators in the Americas.
In a world of ever more diverse communications media, and where businesses and individuals are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of communication, there is a great desire to be able to relate to organisations of integrity and honesty, to the ones which can be trusted. Herein lies a huge opportunity for those post and parcels organisations in the region which already have trusted brands. Capitalise on that trust and make progress in today’s marketplace. For the business whose brand is less trusted, there is clearly a need to achieve trusted status fast, or be left behind. The importance of technology almost goes without saying: the need to understand the impact of technology on traditional products and services; the requirement to find ways to use technology to enter new markets; and, at a more basic level, the application of technology in the improvement of operations and internal processes. The leveraging of trust and the application of technology are truly the building blocks for successful business transformation in the mail and express sectors.
