Debt management company implements mail handling solution

Totemic, one of UK’s largest debt management companies, has implemented an incoming correspondence handling solution from Neopost’s Data Capture Solutions (DCS). The company receives more than 800 letters a day, and the new system will help automate the processing of this mail.

DCS has provided a solution for scanning all incoming mail via a Kofax system which also captures key data from letters as it scans. The data extracted helps sort the mail into various categories such as customer correspondence, creditor letters and statements.

DCS has also developed a custom routing platform for Totemic which allows the customer to route/update relevant data into various business systems.

With the new DCS solution in place, Totemic no longer needs to outsource correspondence processing, which reduces the risk of non-compliance as well as the financial cost-per-client.
