Europa gears up to double in size in Nottingham

Europa Worldwide Group has beefed up its base in the UK Midlands area with a new, larger office in Nottingham. Since Managing Director Andrew Baxter bought Europa in 2013, the business has almost doubled its turnover to nearly £145m and has increased staff numbers from 485 to 650, so planning for – and accommodating – growth is high on the company agenda.

The Nottingham branch currently employs seven people – but the new 1,250 sq ft office will provide space for more than twice that.

HR director at Europa Carl Potter commented: “Our previous site in Nottingham no longer had the space to meet the requirements of our growing team and so it became a priority for us to find a larger serviced office. We picked the site in Colwick Quays because it met all of our requirements and now that we have had it fully refurbished it will be big enough for up to 17 staff.”

Europa’s MD added: “Our new Nottingham office is another indicator that we are on the right track with our plans for expansion. We recently announced our decision to set out on the acquisition trail following an established trend of 25 per cent organic growth across the business and strong regional branches continue to play a key part in cementing this success.”
