FedEx Express Expands US Express Freight Service
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX), has expanded its Express Freight Services to include Saturday delivery for FedEx 1Day(R) Freight, FedEx 2Day(R) Freight and FedEx International Priority(R) Freight shipments to several U.S. metropolitan markets.
“By extending the same reliable Express Freight service to Saturday, shippers now have more time-definite delivery options for their high-value freight shipments,” said Dan Mullally, senior vice president of sales for FedEx Services. “This new expanded service reflects our ongoing commitment to help shippers reduce costs and achieve faster inventory turns.”
The Saturday delivery option is available to 25 U.S. markets (below).
The delivery commitment time for the Saturday delivery option with FedEx 1Day Freight is by 12 p.m. for H1 service areas (generally 0-35 miles from an Express Freight ramp) and by 1:30 p.m. for H2 service areas (36-50 miles from the Express Freight ramp). For FedEx 2Day Freight, the commitment times are 1:30 p.m. for H1 service areas and 4:30 p.m. for H2 service areas.
