Posten AB Reports Operating Profit in 2003

The Swedish postal services company Posten AB issued its year-end report for 2003 on March 1st, posting an operating profit of SEK78m, as compared to a loss of SEK703m in 2002. The result was positive despite restructuring costs of SEK183m. The net turnover also improved, amounting to SEK24,519m as compared to SEK23,632m in 2002. Posten said that it would continue to rationalize and restructure its operations in 2004.
