Key appointment for Xpediator

Dan Harris has been appointed as IT Infrastructure Service and Operations Director by the board of Xpediator,  a provider of freight and logistics management services across the UK and Europe.

Dan joins the Group with a wealth of experience in infrastructure and IT portfolio management roles within leading retail companies. He began his career working for Tesco between 2006 and 2014, where as Programme Manager, he oversaw the delivery of Tesco’s Payqwiq solution – their first move into mobile payment, which can now be found in over 500 stores across the country.

Dan went on to spend three years at Home Retail Group, before his most recent role at Sainsbury’s Argos where as Senior IT Development Manager, he supported the integration of Argos, developing IT and governance structures to provide direction and support following Sainsburys’ £1.4 billion purchase of Argos.

Michael Grange, CIO and COO eCommerce at Xpediator said, “We’re very pleased Dan is joining at this point in Xpediator’s rapid development. The group’s IT infrastructure is a key focus and we are aiming to create significant efficiencies and synergies, by harmonising front-end to back-end systems throughout the business and across all our newly acquired operations. With this objective, Dan’s bluechip experience will be extremely valuable.”

Commenting on his appointment, Dan Harris added: “I am delighted to be joining the Xpediator team. The Company has grown impressively and I am looking forward to applying the knowledge I have acquired to support the Group’s fast paced growth and maximise the commercial advantages a modern IT infrastructure can bring.”
