Finland Post to outsource 50 offices
Finland Post Corporation (Suomen Posti Oyj) reportedly plans to outsource some 50 of its offices to private entrepreneurs.
The Finland Post Concern has only 300 service points it runs on its own, and by the end of 2007 this could reportedly decline to less than 100.
The total number of postal service locations would remain at some 1,400 around the country, while new post offices may also be set up in the future.
Jukka Alho, president of the Finland Post Concern, said that it would take six or seven years for the company to recover from its loss of banking services four years ago, reported the Finnish news agency STT.
