Latvian Postal Service plans EUR 15 mln investments for development

Latvia’s state -owned Latvijas Pasts postal service is planing to invest 10 million lats (EUR 15 mln) this year towards development.

Latvijas Pasts director general Gints Skodovs said that around 5 million lats are expected to be spent on a new postal sorting complex at the Riga airport, set to be completed by July next year.

The company also plans to modernize its post offices numbering over 960. Skodovs said that over the next five years 350 post offices will be renovated.

Latvijas Pasts posted a net turnover of 24.5 million lats profiting 2.37 million.
