DHL launches Indian ‘Rakhi Express’ service
Sisters can now send ‘rakhis’ to their brothers living overseas, along with a box of kumkum, some rice, a letter and a gift at a discount of 50 per cent, thanks to a new service by world’s leading logistics firm DHL.
The ‘Rakhi Express’ service is available from August 9 to 29 and “is designed to bridge the distance between families across countries,” DHL said.
The DHL Rakhi Express service is timed to coincide with this year’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’, the festival that celebrates sisters’ love for their brothers.
“The DHL Rakhi Express ensures safe, quick and reliable delivery of ‘rakhis’ to over 220 countries around the world, including the USA, UK and UAE,” said Chris Callen, country manager, DHL Express India.
He said through the new service, DHL wanted to bring those staying in India closer to their loved ones abroad.
