Croatian Post invests HRK 60 million to improve the quality of its postal services

Croatian Post has begun construction of a new business facility in  Bakar-Kukuljanovo worth almost 60 million kuna.

So far Croatian Post has invested in facilities located in Zadar and Osijek, as well as building a new Sorting Centre in Velika Gorica. By building the new Kukuljanovo business facility, Croatian post will have four up-to-date hubs in its network of mail item sorting facilities.

The Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković pointed out: “Croatian Post is one of the largest companies in my portfolio that achieves success year after year. It concluded last year by opening the New Sorting Centre in Velika Gorica, while it starts this year with further investments in modernisation.”

“The new business facility in Bakar-Kukuljanovo zone is the latest hub and the final investment in the infrastructural development of our mail item processing network within this cycle. Having expanded and reorganised the logistics centre in Osijek, built the new logistics centre in Zadar, increased our capacities in Bjelovar and completed the largest investment in the history of Croatian Post – the New Sorting Centre in Velika Gorica – over the past three years, the Kukuljanovo facility represents the final item in the Croatian Post’s infrastructure that will facilitate our growth and development in a logistical sense, enabling us to provide even higher quality to the citizens”, the President of the Management Board of Croatian Post Ivan Čulo said during the cornerstone ceremony.

Kukuljanovo business facility is especially important for the whole of the western Croatia. The construction and entry into service of the Kukuljanovo mail item processing facility represents an important step in the improvement of quality and speed of providing services to all citizens gravitating to this area.

Once completed, the new business facility of Croatian Post in Kukuljanovo will encompass a total area of 5,000 sq m and feature its own solar power plant. The new facility is located in the immediate vicinity of Rijeka – Zagreb motorway and the Kvarner Road, with Rijeka’s centre only 10 kilometres away.
