Pallet-Track equips for ADR delivery
The Pallet-Track network has partnered with Stafford haulier Stan Robinson to move hazardous goods. From January, it will become the first general system to be able to offer its members a full ADR service. Pallets arriving at the networks Wednesbury hub will be inspected by its dangerous goods safety advisor and paperwork checked before they are transferred to Robinsons Stafford headquarters for onward distribution.
Pallet-Track is the newest UK pallet network. Launched in January this year it has more than 50 members and is currently moving 1,800 pallets a night.
More stringent European legislatoin is bringing more items within the scope of hazardous goods legistlation, preventing hauliers from distributing high volumes of products such s aerosols and paints.
MD Nigel Parkes said: There has been a need for us to provide our membrs withthe facility to move hazardous goods, but it had to be with the right partner.
Pallet-Tracks move follows the launch of the HazChem Network last month, made up largely of existing pallet network members.
