Philippine consumer affairs group recognizes DHL as best air express firm in ’04

DHL Express Philippines was named “Best Air Express Company for 2004” at the recent Who’s Who in the Philippines Consumers Choice Awards.

Besting the express and logistics industry’s other players, DHL was conferred the award by the National Consumers Affairs Foundation and the Who’s Who in the Philippines Foundation.

“We at DHL are very much honored to receive the approval of our Filipino clients,” said DHL Express Philippines country manager Alan Cassels. “Being in the Philippines for more than 30 years, we have grown, developed, and continuously strived to give the Filipino consumers only the highest quality of service.”

DHL’s clientele in the Philippines includes leading multinational and local firms from various industries such as semiconductors and electronics, consumer, health, textile and garments, among many others.

Boasting of state-of-the-art facilities and security standards, with Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA) “A” rated service centers and Gateway, DHL brings to the Filipino market express and logistics solutions at par with global standards.

“DHL’s evolution into a one-stop shop for express and logistics solutions was made possible by intensive efforts to immerse and learn about the business in local markets, enabling us to anticipate client’s requirements based on current or, in some cases, upcoming industry development,” said Mr. Cassels.

In areas covered by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), DHL offers “Vapire Courier” services, which address the special requirements of PEZA-accredited firms for 24/7 express service.

“We believe that in this way, DHL is giving them a competitive advantage in the world market,” said the DHL chief.

Held every two years, The Consumers Choice Awards recognizes outstanding consumer products and services that have significantly contributed to the well-being of Filipino consumers.

The criteria include service features and quality, contribution to well-being of Filipino consumers, and public opinion survey. This win is second in a row for DHL Express Philippines.
