M&H Carriers owner steps down after 30 years

Magnus Slater, who grew his 30-year-old distribution company from a car and trailer to a fleet of over 100 lorries and trucks, is preparing to hand over the reins of Aberdeen based logistics company M&H Carriers to new Managing Director, Fraser Maclean.

With Magnus making a move to Australia, Fraser Maclean has taken the helm with an unrivalled wealth of knowledge in the distribution industry. Selling his part-owned business AJG Parcels to Menzies Distribution in 2015, Maclean worked for Menzies Distribution following the sale for 4 years.

Fraser Maclean said: “I have known Magnus for over 10 years, and we had discussed working together previously, so I am glad that we have now made it happen.  M&H is a strong company with excellent coverage and experience in the sector and I am really looking forward to playing my part in the future of M&H Carriers”.

Magnus Slater said: “I am stepping back from the day to day running of the business very proud of all that we have achieved so far.  We have retained a strong client base from the beginning and have 160 staff some of whom have been employed with M&H from day one.”
