Shipstation gives U.S. merchants access to 600 million Latin American customers

Web-based e-commerce shipping solution, ShipStation,  has launched a new partnership with Mercado Libre, the largest e-commerce and payments system in Latin America, offering merchants on the ShipStation platform new opportunities to scale international operations and seamlessly sell and ship to customers in the region.

Through this new partnership, U.S. merchants will gain access to 600 million Latin American buyers through Mercado Libre. Mercado Libre hosts the largest online commerce and payments ecosystem in Latin America, is the fourth largest marketplace in the world by visits per month, and the largest in Latin America, with presence in 18 countries across the region, including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, and Peru.

Mercado Libre enables its sellers to contribute to the development of a large and growing e-commerce community in Latin America. The new partnership will enable ShipStation merchants to access a new gateway to Latin America with access to its e-commerce and payment tools, such as a centralized seller account, simplified end-to-end shipping solutions, and the ability to finance in installments by MELI.

“We are extremely excited to kick off our partnership with ShipStation, offering U.S. merchants a gateway into one of the world’s fastest-growing e-commerce regions,” said Mariano Migues, CBT Supervisor, Mercado Libre. “The combination of the leading shipping software and the biggest Latin American marketplace provides an unmatched opportunity for U.S. merchants to grow their business and access a market of over 600 million potential customers.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Mercado Libre to offer ShipStation merchants new and exciting opportunities to sell into the Latin America region,” said Krish Iyer, Head of Industry Relations, ShipStation.

“Mercado Libre hosts the largest online commerce and payments ecosystem in Latin America and is one of the most respected names in e-commerce globally. This partnership will give merchants on the ShipStation platform quick and seamless access to one of the world’s fastest-growing e-commerce regions.”
