UK Mail contract with The Royal Bank of Scotland Group for upstream mail services
Business Post, the UK’s leading independent express delivery company, announces that, following a tender process, its business unit UK Mail has contracted to provide upstream mail services to The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, one of the UK’s largest mailers. Collections will commence today.
Upstream mail services comprise the collection and national distribution of mail (with associated management information and IT) for next day delivery to Royal Mail, for local sorting and final delivery.
Notes for Editors:
UK Mail offers a nationwide two-day mail delivery service, operating in both the business-to-consumer and business-to-business markets. Features of the service are track-and-trace up to the point of hand-over to Royal Mail, for final mile delivery, and flexibility of collection for large mailers.
This new development, whereunder the customer has a relationship with both Royal Mail and UK Mail (instead of only with UK Mail), offers a solution for a wider range of business mailers, particularly those in the financial services sector.
At the date of Business Post’s interim announcement, 16 November 2004, UK Mail had moved over 23 million items since commencement of its service on 10 May 2004, securing customers in the telecoms, utilities, government and retail sectors, and had an annualised turnover of over £12 million.
