DHL recruits three new members to its Business Development Team

DHL Freight has further strengthened its Business Development team with three new appointments reflecting an increased focus on the Contract Logistics and Pallet Network markets.

Kevin Bennett has been appointed as General Marketing Manager. Kevin will be managing, co-ordinating and implementing all of the marketing and communications activities alongside the central marketing function. He will be responsible for the marketing team based at the Birmingham Head Office which supports the logistics and pallet network businesses.

Kevin has gained extensive marketing experience having held a number of senior positions in the logistics and transport sectors including National Express and Business Post.

Kevin is delighted to join the marketing team. “I am looking forward to establishing DHL as a major player in the contract logistics and freight market.” he says.

DHL Freight & Contract Logistics also announced Paddy Gavaghan as their new General Manger for Business Development & Sales for its wholly-owned domestic and international pallet network.

Paddy will be responsible for managing the pallet network field sales team across the UK to ensure that the right focus is placed on developing existing and new accounts within DHL. Paddy brings a wealth of experience to DHL, having extensive knowledge and understanding of the logistics industry through working at Stott`s Motors, a family owned business and Christian Salvesen.

Paddy said, “I am looking forward to being a part of DHL, one of the largest logistics organisations worldwide which has great potential for growth. It has an extremely strong brand and I know that I will get the chance to make a positive impact.”

The third new member is Andrew Moore, Business Development Manager. Andrew will be responsible for acquiring new business by helping customers find solutions to their logistics requirements and assisting in setting up and improving new and existing operations. He has vast experience in the logistics industry having held a number of diverse positions with a variety of companies. He has experience in many areas including transport planning, inventory management, logistics management, supply chain re-engineering and account management.

Andrew commented, “I have worked on an array of projects including overhauling an entire global supply chain. I know that my experience at national and international level will benefit both existing and new customers of DHL.”
