Hubbed to provide more convenience to eBay Australia customers

Hubbed, the carrier-agnostic collection point network, has partnered with eBay Australia, to offer its locations to eBay Australia Click and Collect customers.

The Hubbed network comprises more than 2000 locations in Australia, providing parcel pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) services to e-commerce customers. eBay customers will be able to select Hubbed in their check out process with access to 1200 selected locations.

Aussie shoppers are looking for convenient parcel collection alternatives as traditional 9 am-5 pm windows may not support everyone’s schedules. In fact, new Hubbed research indicates 72 per cent of shoppers would prefer to pick up their parcels from an after-hours location.

David Ramadge, Senior Director at eBay Australia, says: “We are pleased to add Hubbed to our already unrivalled Click and Collect network. The partnership will expand our reach, enabling even greater coverage to buyers in regional areas – 85 per cent of Australians able to access after hours delivery options when shopping with eBay. With more Australians planning to shop online this Christmas, we hope it will provide greater convenience to shoppers purchasing from our 40,000 Australian retailers.”

Hubbed has partnered with national and global brands such as bp, 7-Eleven, National Storage and Pack & Send in addition to its independent retail partners to create a network offering extended and weekend hours of operation.

bp has been a part of the Hubbed network for over four years and offers collection services for Hubbed customers. The convenience of parking and the extended hours makes the network an extremely popular destination for customers.

Adam Arnold, General Manager Marketing & Innovation at bp, says: “With over 260 locations across Australia, ample parking and over 85 per cent of stores offering accessibility, we continue to attract customers looking for safe and easy parcel pick-up locations. Our over-the-counter services continue to offer a secure alternative to customers who do not wish to leave their parcels unattended at their place of residence.”

David McLean, CEO, and Founder of Hubbed, says: “There has been significant growth in the use of Click and Collect services over the last year, due, in large part, to the acceleration of e-commerce sales. Hubbed is pleased to further broaden eBay’s Click and Collect network. Our research shows that customers also prefer locations that are reliable, secure and increasingly support sustainability by reducing the number of journeys made by couriers to individual homes.”
