Whistl demonstrates its commitment to the South West

UK delivery management company, Whistl,  has announced that it is to move in to a new 78000sqft depot at Bristol Patchway in 2021.  The site which is currently under development will be used for the company’s business mail and parcel collection and sortation operations for the South West.

Whistl currently has a depot near the new site which it has operated from since 2006 and the existing 170 team members will transfer to the new site.  The move to the larger site will see the company launch a recruitment drive in the New Year for new job opportunities in the office, depot and transport areas.

The depot move to a purpose built site will enable the company to further improve current operations enabling a more efficient working environment.

The new site will also enable the company to reduce its environmental footprint through using the latest heat and power technology as well as improved insulation.  There will be provision for electric vehicle charging and cycle parking to encourage greener transport methods.

Nick Wells, CEO Whistl, said: “We are looking forward to our move in 2021 to a new site which will provide an enhanced working environment for our colleagues in Bristol.  This investment demonstrates our commitment to the South West and to ensuring that we continue to provide efficient and cost-effective service for our customers.”
