Elsag and Parascript partnership provides superior automation performance for Poste Italiane
Elsag, a Finmeccanica company and a leading information technology and mail automation provider in Italy, today announced a partnership agreement with U.S. based OCR technology provider Parascript, LLC to provide a mail automation solution for Poste Italiane.
In the coming months, Elsag will integrate the Parascript OCR technology within their proprietary OCR system, as part of the Poste Italiane automation solution. The Parascript OCR includes address block location, address structure parsing, word recognition and cross-validation modules. The Elsag OCR and Voting System, combined with Parascript OCR technology, will provide Poste Italiane a solution with superior performance and maximum adaptability at a reasonable cost.
