Spanish Unipost appoints General Director

Spanish private postal services provider Unipost appointed Pablo Raventos general director, replacing Alejandro Silva Ramos, who will be Unipost vice president, the company said on March 14, 2006.

Both Raventos and Silva are among Unipost founders. Raventos has graduated in agriculture engineering from the Catalan Polytechnic University and has a MBA degree from the IESE Business School. He has also worked for the McKinsey & Company consultancy and local food company Nutrexpa.

At present, Unipost delivers letters and packages to 1,300 Spanish towns and to 140 countries in cooperation with German sector company Deutsche Post, providing services to 15,000 customers. Unipost runs 170 offices and employs over 4,000.
