DHL Mexico completes chain rehabilitation

DHL Mexico, the Mexican subsidiary of global carrier and package delivery company DHL Express, part of the German postal services operator Deutsche Post, announced on May 18, 2006, that it had successfully completed the rehabilitation and expansion of its chain nationwide.

The project required an investment of 38 mln Mexican pesos ($3.4 mln/2.65 mln euro).

DHL Mexico said it plans to invest an additional 13 mln pesos ($1.17 mln/912,200 euro) during the remainder of the year to further improve its outlets. The investment will increase the effectiveness of DHL Mexico’s operations and will also improve the company’s customer relationship management (CRM).

DHL Mexico opened seven services centres and rehabilitated another five in the metropolitan area of Mexico City. The company also opened 20 centres in the interior of the country and refurbished 43.

Currently DHL Mexico operates 170 sales points, 32 of which are located in Mexico City.
