German green delivery specialist Liefergrün closes €12 million funding round

Berlin-based sustainable last-mile shipping platform Liefergrün has announced that it has raised €12 million in Series A funding.

In a notice posted on its LinkedIn page today (2 September), the company said: “We are very excited to welcome new investors eCAPITAL ENTREPRENEURIAL PARTNERS and a prominent German family office, who trust in us and our vision. We are equally happy that our existing investors Speedinvest and Norrsken VC are doubling down on their initial investment demonstrating confidence in Liefergrün’s business model.”

Founded in 2020 by Niklas Tauch, Max Schleper and Robin Wingenbach, Liefergrün says its “mission is to turn every parcel delivery into a green experience” – and it does this by using cargo bikes and electric vans.

The company’s roster of clients in Germany includes adidas and Dyson and it offers two-hour and next-day delivery which customers can track using an app.
