DHL strengthens network in South India with new service centre
DHL, world’s leading express and logistics company, today inaugurated its new service centre in Bangalore.
The 21,000 sq ft facility will handle over 3,000 inbound and outbound shipments a day, weighing more than 25 tonnes and monitor 23 routes across South India, a company release said.
DHL, through this facility, has further enhanced its network infrastructure in South India, which is a key area for growth in the company, the release said.
The Bangalore services centre is DHL’s latest infrastructure investment in the city, in addition to the Customs Courier Express Clearance Facility located at Bangalore Air Cargo Complex opened that was opened in January 2006. The facility will house DHL’s credit, sales and customers service/E-Com teams and has 75 employees.
