Asia Pacific Post Cooperative “addresses one of the most pressing challenges in the postal industry”

At their annual General Assembly, Asia Pacific Post Cooperative (the Cooperative), the non-governmental organisation representing and supporting twenty-eight Postal Operators across Asia and the Pacific, announced the launch of Asia Pacific Post Cooperative XBR, their deliveries Duties Paid Solution which is powered by Zonos

This innovative Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) solution enhances customer experience by removing the complexities of DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) shipments. XBR simplifies customs compliance, increases operational efficiency for postal services and improves the customer experience by removing barriers to delivery.

Sid Hart, Managing Director at the Cooperative, comments, “Working in collaboration with Zonos, we’ve tailored a solution that addresses one of the most pressing challenges in the postal industry while catering to the wide diversity of the Cooperative’s membership.” Sid Continues, “From a Cooperative perspective, this touches all of our mission points; it drives volume to members, fixes a real operational problem and enhances cooperation amongst the members and wider industry. To have members committed to trial before we had even put ink to paper was a great testament to the potential of this partnership for the Cooperative and wider postal sector.”

Clint Reid, CEO and founder of Zonos, said, “Working in collaboration Zonos and Asia Pacific Post Cooperative has enabled Posts to sign up for the APP’s XBR solution, opening up thousands of merchants to Asia Pacific Posts for postal DDP for the first time.” Clint continues, “This relationship is key to our partnership with the United States Postal Service. Also, any Post at any origin can now offer DDP to e-commerce merchants shipping to and from Asia Pacific for the first time. We look forward to growing postal volume by offering DDP to all Posts.”

Lee Hon Chew, Chair of the Asia Pacific Post Cooperative, said, “The Cooperative has been working for some time to solve the challenge of cross border for its members. By collaborating with one of our Connect partners, Zonos, we have designed a viable solution that addresses these challenges immediately.”
