Masters Pharmaceutical chooses DHL as primary small package transporatation provider

DHL, the world's leading express delivery and logistics company, today announced it has been selected by Masters Pharmaceutical, a pharmaceutical sales, marketing and distribution company, as its primary provider for next-day delivery services. Masters Pharmaceutical recently switched from a two-day delivery service program to next-day service with DHL in order to better serve Masters' growing customer base. Working within a highly competitive industry, Masters Pharmaceutical recognizes the benefits of offering the highest level of service to its more than 6,000 customers.

"When managing high-demand pharmaceutical distribution, reliable transportation services along with real-time tracking are key elements to retaining and growing a national clientele of pharmaceutical customers," said Denny Smith, President and CEO for Masters Pharmaceutical. "In addition to receiving the high level of service promised, the local support has made the transition to DHL a pleasure. We are looking forward to reaching our growth goal of 10,000 customers in 2007 through a successful partnership with DHL," added Smith.

Masters Pharmaceutical distributes nationwide from a centrally located distribution facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. Through a customized late pickup service by DHL, Masters Pharmaceutical is able to fulfill orders late in the evening for next-day delivery to pharmacies nationwide.

"Masters Pharmaceutical is one of many customers that is enhancing its business model through successfully leveraging DHL's domestic air network and expansive portfolio of services," said Janet Flores, area vice president of sales at DHL. "By providing customers, large and small, access to dedicated support, customized solutions, and reliable expedited logistics, DHL can help give these companies the opportunity to offer their customers a high level of delivery service."

Due to the demanding regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry, Masters Pharmaceutical needs quick and accurate visibility into all of its pharmaceutical orders. To facilitate orders quickly and accurately, DHL's e-commerce consultants connected the Masters Pharmaceutical Customer Relationship Management system to DHL's EasyShip(R) Professional Plus for automatic processing of pharmaceutical orders. DHL installed a fully functional PC shipping station, including software, and all needed PC hardware and peripherals, installation and training.
